Policies, Terms & Conditions
1. Enrolment & Registration

Enrolment is confirmed once you have received a personalised confirmation email

A non-refundable, one-off registration fee of $35 must be paid upon enrolment.

Prestige Dance Company reserves the right to accept, refuse, or withdraw enrolment at its discretion for reasons including behaviour, policy violations, or safety concerns.

Once students are enrolled, they are assumed enrolled for the remainder of the year unless written unenrolment is provided.
2. Fees & Payments

All tuition fees are billed at the start of each term and are due within 4 weeks.
-
Fees must be paid by the due date listed on the invoice; otherwise, students may not participate in class.
-
All fees are non-refundable, including tuition, costumes, competition fees, exam fees, and enrolment fees.
-
Missed classes are non-refundable; however, make-up classes are available when possible.
-
If withdrawing from classes, written notice must be provided. Refunds are not offered, but credits may be issued where applicable.
3. Attendance & Commitment

Prestige Performers:
-
Required to attend at least 75% of classes.
-
Must be available for all competitions and scheduled events.
-
If you have a scheduled overseas trip, please notify the studio as soon as possible to allow consideration when booking competitions.

Recreational Students:

Encouraged to attend classes consistently to ensure progress and confidence.

4. Uniform & Presentation
-
Correct Prestige Dance Company uniform and correct dance shoes must be worn for all classes.
-
Hair must be tied back off the face; for ballet, a bun is required.

Water only is permitted inside studios.
-
Mobile phones must remain in bags during class.
-
Uniform Requirements:
-
Ballet: Ballet shoes, ballet stockings, leotard, bun.
-
All other styles: Prestige Dance Company uniform and correct dance shoes.
-
Premiers (Adult Classes): Comfortable activewear.

5. Class Etiquette & Behaviour Expectations
-
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff, and peers.
-
Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may lead to temporary or permanent removal from class.
-
Mobile phones must be silenced and kept with personal belongings during class.
-
Food, chewing gum, and messy drinks are not permitted in studios.
6. Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Parents/guardians must ensure their child arrives and is collected on time.
-
For late pick-ups, students are required to wait in the waiting room within sight of the dance teacher. Parents must walk into the waiting area to collect their child so the teacher can confirm they have been picked up by their appropriate caregiver.

Parents are welcome to watch through the viewing window or walk through to access the bathroom, but may not disrupt classes.

8. Costumes, Performances & Events

All costume and performance-related fees must be paid in full by the due date.

Participation in events, performances, and competitions is at the discretion of the studio.
9. Examinations & Assessments

Exams and assessments are optional unless part of a specific program.
-
Fees for exams must be paid before registration is submitted.
-
Eligibility for exams is determined by teacher recommendation and attendance.
10. Make-Up Classes & Private Lessons
-
Classes still run on public holidays unless otherwise notified.
-
Make-up classes may be offered when available due to teacher absences and must be taken within the same term.
-
For refunds on private lessons, the teacher must be given 24 hours’ notice of cancellation.
11. Health & Safety
-
Parents must disclose any medical conditions upon enrolment and update the studio with any changes.
-
Prestige Dance Company staff may provide first aid but cannot administer medication.
-
Students who are injured are welcome to attend class to sit, watch, and continue learning.

Students may be physically guided or supported by teachers, with consent, for spotting skills, correcting alignment, or assisting safe technique.

Students should not attend class if unwell or contagious.
12. Photography & Media Consent

Prestige Dance Company may capture photos or videos of classes and performances for promotional purposes.
-
Media may be used on the website, social channels, and marketing materials.
-
Families must notify the studio in writing if they do not consent to media use.
13. Studio Property & Personal Belongings
-
Prestige Dance Company is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
-
Students should label all belongings and keep valuables at home.
14. Cancellations & Schedule Changes
-
Prestige Dance Company reserves the right to cancel, modify, or merge classes due to enrolment numbers, teacher availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of studio closure due to emergencies, natural disasters, or government restrictions, classes may be moved online.
-
Refunds will not be provided for circumstances outside the studio’s control; alternative learning formats may be offered.
15. Code of Conduct

Prestige Dance Company maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.

Any behaviour compromising the wellbeing of students or staff may result in immediate removal from the program.
16. Liability Waiver

By enrolling, families understand that dance involves physical activity and carries inherent risk, including but not limited to muscle strain, sprains, falls, and other potential injuries associated with movement-based training.

All students participate in classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and studio events at their own risk.

Prestige Dance Company, its teachers, contractors, and staff will take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment; however, they are not liable for any injury, accident, or incident that may occur on the premises, during off-site events, or while participating in any dance-related activity.

Parents/guardians accept full responsibility for their child’s physical condition, wellbeing, and ability to participate safely.

By participating in classes or programs, families acknowledge that they have assessed the risks and agree not to pursue legal action against Prestige Dance Company or its representatives for injuries or incidents occurring as a result of normal dance activities.

17. Agreement to Terms

By enrolling at Prestige Dance Company, students and families agree to abide by all policies, terms, and conditions listed above.
